$100 book basket up for grabs
Publicist: Losing Clementine follows a world-renowned artist during her last 30 days on earth.
Me: This is true.
Publicist: Wouldn’t it be cool if we celebrated the last 30 days before publication by asking people what they’d do during their last days?
Me: You just want to tell me your last meal, right?
Publicist: Of course not, but it would involve cheese.
Me: Calories aren’t really a concern at that point.
Publicist: (ignoring me) We should also give away a prize. A good prize.
Me: Not cheese.
Publicist: No, too perishable. We’ll give away a basket of books from HarperCollins worth $100. That’s good, right?
Me: Can I win?
Publicist: No.
Me: Are there rules?
Publicist: Yes.

06.02.2012 at 19:05Stephanie, that’s a great question! The contest is open to U.S. and Canadian residents only. If you live in Montreal, you’re in luck. Paris, not so much.

10.02.2012 at 15:56First off, I hope I win. Only because the look on my husband’s face when a huge box of books comes my way, to be added to my shameful stack of un-read books, would be Christmas card worthy.
Second, I am SO excited to read Losing Clementine because I’ve been hearing about this book and I just got it in my hands today and I maybe squealed. Out loud. It scared the cats.

10.02.2012 at 16:03Sara, you made my day! Thanks for the sweet words. I hope you find Clementine to be squeal-worthy!
And yep, the prize Harper is putting up is awfully nice. That is one heck of a book basket up for grabs.
