Ashley Ream is a former journalist and the author of three acclaimed novels. Born and raised in a working-class town near Kansas City, she has since moved all over the country, doing stints in Florida, Texas, Los Angeles and Wisconsin. She currently lives in a small house in the big woods outside of Seattle.
Her debut novel, Losing Clementine, which sold at auction, was a Barnes & Noble debut pick, a Sutter Home Book Club pick and was short-listed for the Balcones Fiction Prize. The 100 Year Miracle, was named an Amazon Best Book of the Month and selected as the Whidbey Island all-island read. Of her latest, The Peculiar Gift of July, Booklist said, “Each page is more charming than the last, and readers will face the dilemma of consuming this book as quickly as possible or limiting pages to slowly savor.”
She and her books have appeared in L.A. Weekly, Los Angeles Magazine, Bust Magazine, the Toronto Star, The Seattle Times and the Kansas City Star, among many others.
